Living Abroad
I am an American born in San Jose, California. I went to college and law school in Los Angeles. I lived in Manhattan and Queens, New York, and Salzburg, Austria. I currently reside in Copenhagen, Denmark.
My family’s story is one of immigration. I refer to my mix of cultures and ancestors before I refer to myself as American. As an adult, I’ve returned to the contingent my ancestors left for a better life in the United States. I am an immigrant raising American, yet culturally Danish children in Denmark.
